Cirricullum

Programme is based around – 4D Schools - https://www.4d.org.nz/school/ - Leading this is international consultant, Neil McKay, who  is at the forefront of thinking on dyslexia and education.  He is one of the world’s leading educators in this area, he takes an advanced view of what characterises dyslexia, and what can be done about it.  Best of all, his advice on this practical, realistic and simple to implement.

Feuerstein

Throughout the curriculum we implements the Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment  Programme. The Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment  Programme  (FIE Programme)  was created by Reuven Feuerstein who was an Israeli clinical, developmental, and cognitive psychologist, known for his theory of intelligence which states “it is not ‘fixed’, but rather modifiable”.  Feuerstein is recognized for his work in developing the theories and applied systems of structural cognitive modifiability, mediated learning experience, cognitive map, deficient cognitive functions, learning propensity assessment device, instrumental enrichment programs, and shaping modifying environments. These interlocked practices provide educators with the skills and tools to systematically develop students’ cognitive functions and operations to build meta-cognition.
